A phone or video fertility consultation makes it easier to get treatment at TFC
The Texas Fertility Center (TFC) team wants to make it as convenient as possible for patients to get the care they need from us. We know that sometimes women and men can’t make it to our New Braunfels fertility center, due to a busy schedule, traffic congestion, or coming from a different city or country. If you’re facing any of these barriers, you can schedule a video fertility consultation with our team.
How do you schedule a telemedicine appointment?
The process for scheduling a video fertility consultation is no different than making an in-office appointment. Just fill out our contact form and the new patient coordinator will schedule the appointment and send you a welcome email with instructions.
This email will include all the paperwork that our New Braunfels fertility center team needs to receive before your appointment. This will allow you and your doctor to make the most of your time together. If needed, the new patient coordinator can help you submit the necessary paperwork.
After scheduling the appointment, a member of the TFC team will verify your insurance benefits and specifically ask your carrier about telemedicine coverage. This will allow us to discuss your benefits and the estimated costs you may be responsible for before your visit.
What happens during a video fertility consultation?
During a video consultation, you can count on receiving the same care and information that you would during an in-person appointment. The only difference is that you don’t have to leave your home or office.
Your doctor will ask about your medical and fertility history, including the results of any previous fertility tests or treatments. He or she will also review any additional diagnostic tests you will need to undergo. Finally, you’ll learn about which fertility treatments are available to you. You can also meet with a nurse and a billing specialist over video.
Our New Braunfels fertility center currently offers video appointments to preoperative and postoperative surgery patients, as well as patients undergoing consultations that don’t require an ultrasound. While we have offered video appointments to new out-of-town and international patients for some time, we are now also offering them to our local patients to encourage social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Telemedicine gives you more options
At TFC, we want you to have the information you need to decide which family-building approach is best for you. Getting access to this information shouldn’t be hindered by traffic, distance or schedules, so book a video fertility consultation today. Contact us to learn more.
