What are the causes of infertility?

As for men, some common causes of male infertility include low sperm count, poor sperm quality, azoospermia (the absence of sperm in the semen) and erectile dysfunction.
Both men and women can also experience fertility issues due to age. A woman is born with all of the eggs she will ever have, and the quality and quantity of her eggs start to decrease rapidly around her mid-30s. Men also experience an age-related decline in sperm quality starting at around age 40.
